Special Announcement: Filing Annual Tax Waver for 2007
This year DAI (Declaração Anual de Isento - Annual Tax Waver declaration) has to be filed between 09/03/2007 and 11/30/2007. DAI is required for all individuals (nationals and foreigners) who have income above R$14,992.32 in 2006.
Foreigners who have received their CPF this year are exempt from filing DAI along with those non-nationals who are not tax residents in Brazil.
Please, check the site of the Receita Federal do Brazil:
http://www.receita.fazenda.gov.br/
for detailed information about your situation and to find out whether you are required to file DAI.
DAI can be filed for free through the site of the Receita Federal after September the 3rd
